Location. The Shumba Valley Lodge is a country hotel located in Lanseria, Johannesburg, South Africa, 10 kilometres from the lion park and 12 kilometres from the crocodile farm. Johannesburg city centre is 55 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Set in 50 acres of country land, this hotel has a warm ambience and features a swimming pool, volleyball courts and a terrace for relaxation. Currency exchange is offered at the 24 hour front desk and laundry services are available. Guests arriving by car can make use of the complimentary secure parking.
Complimentary full English buffet breakfast is served to guests of Shumba Valley Lodge daily. The hotel bar and restaurant offers buffet dishes or an � la carte menu of typical South African cuisine.

Located in rondavels (traditional round huts) and thatched chalets the air conditioned guestrooms at Shumba Valley Lodge are decorated in earthy, autumnal tones and feature dark slate tiled flooring and mahogany stained furnishings, including desks. Amenities include satellite television, telephones, dial up Internet access, tea/coffee makers and hair dryers.
Expert Tip. At the lion park and game reserve, there are four different lion camps to drive through and a lion cub camp through which visitors are permitted to walk. Giraffes and zebras can also be seen in the reserve.

From Johannesburg International Airport (JNB):
Distance to Shumba Valley Lodge is 55 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis are available from the airport, opposite Terminal A. Airport accredited vehicles should display the ACSA logo, and the fare should be negotiated prior to departure. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Lanseria can be explored on foot. A car is recommended for exploring further afield.
Driving directions. Depart Johannesburg Or Tambo Airport.
Take N3 towards Pretoria.
Then take N1 Roodepoort.
Turn off at Hans Strydom then turn right.
Follow the signs marked Lanseria.
Shumba Valley Lodge hotel is on the right hand side.
